Tiny Office 2.0
By cillastar
My tiny office has come a long way. I was given an armoire from my mom and was torn between upholding its namesake or reorganizing my messy "office" area. I'm so glad I went with the latter. This armoire is in our living room so it's great to hide so much within such a small foot print. Closing the doors might just be my favorite part. There is no work surface. It's basically a home for everything office/art related. I do use the old chess board as a cutting board/catch all.
Since I'm in need of a work surface, I'm deciding between extending my window sill to create a floating desk or buying a foldable table. More pictures below.

I'm more of a craigslister myself. The good items get snatched up so fast on my FC. I enjoy have a bunch of projects that I don't have time for. I keep them for a rainy day.
Thanks, I'd recommend some sort of lighting if it's in a dark corner (like mine.)

I've never seen one for free, but they have lots of them on our Craigslist for sale. Our closest freecycle seems to be more wants than give aways. We gave away some leftover construction material before I quit and found Craigslist. We like it much better. Friendlier.
I do have a couple smaller armoires that I'll be redoing when I get the chance. Too many other things to do before I can get to them.
I love how you've used other things inside yours to help organize it.

I see armoires/lockers on craigslist for free from time to time! You might also be able to find a freecycle group near you. :)

Our daughter has an armoire similar to yours that she has in storage now. If it weren't so far away I'd have it here in a heart beat to help organize all my sewing "stuff". They are amazing for organizing a multitude of "things", aren't they?
Love your kitty too!
