I am enamored by anything vintage. My husband and I bought a home three years ago and have been mixing our styles- I'm more Pier One/IKEA, he is more Bombay Company/fancy schmancy. After we went to Europe, we were inspired to make our house resemble the sights there. With our dog Baxter, we are having fun making it our own special space.

 I definitely use the creative side of my brain much more than the logical side. I love fashion, art, photography, ceramics, painting, and anything with lime green! I am also a huge fan of garage sale-ing--- I can usually be found tuling around town on the weekends looking for something unique.

Spray-Painting Wicker

I need help! I have these cool Madras baskets around my home for storage and would love the free dresser I picked up to look the same. I don't have a picture of the dresser, but it's all white. The pictures below are pretty close. It's going to have a glass counter put on top and be used in a room for storage/etc (I'm a makeup artist and don't always want my kit and products laying around). I want to change the nob handles too. Any ideas on how to get the varied brown colors on the wicker? I am pretty good with a spray... »MORE

Lampshade Ideas 2:

Ok! Here is the lamp! My Goodwill find! I have several chocolate brown accent walls in my house that I could put it against- or my funky craft/office space. I need some ideas for a crafty DIY lampshade. Maybe something with pictures?? Anyone? Bueller? I am open to different styles, SHAPES and colors. But it's my fav color- couldn't resist it!    »MORE

Ok. Tried to log in and create an additional comment under the "Lampshade II" pics but it just kept telling me that I wasn't logged in. I'll update my post here. I found a cool green lamp base at Urban Outfitters. It has a neat lampshade, so I thought I would post it here.
