"Think Spring" Contest winner: Terryswaler

By bruno

The voting margin was narrow, but Terryswaler pulled out the win in the "Curbly Think Spring Giveaway". Her spring project is to finish up her gutted kitchen; and she estimates it'll cost around $4,000.

Well, congratulations, Terryswaler! We'll get you 2.5 hundredths of the way there with a gift certificate to Amazon.com!

Honorable mention goes to Balubalu, who came in very close with his genius idea for a DIY rolling hideaway bed!

And thanks to everyone else who participated and voted; we love doing these contests because they give us a chance to reward our wonderful Curbly members for being a part of our community. Look for more contests coming up.

Woo! Looking good... make sure to keep us posted on your progress. In other news, I came home Saturday night to water coming through the living room ceiling. Ooops! Looks like I have some work of my own to do. More on that later.

Hi Everyone!

Thanks so much!  I am thrilled -- and I finally revealed to my fiance this past weekend that I was in this contest -- and it motivated him to GET TO WORK.  That, in my opinion, was the best thing that could have happened!

Drumroll please.  I give you drywalled and primed!

Thanks so much to all of you.  And, balubalu -- I would have voted for you too -- that bed is so cool!  I can't wait to see pictures of that completed project!

Congratulations Terryswaler! Now I can finally say that I'd have voted for your project too. Bed and kitchen are the two major things you need in your living space IMHO.

And yours definitely needs some work. Now get your hubby, get to work and let everyone here know how it is proceeding.

After all one of my reasons for posting my project was to create some pressure to finally get me started. Now you got the pressure and I can take some more time ;-)

PS: Hey Bruno ;-)
