modern transoms

By bhikkhu

I'm about to move into an older house with tall ceilings; several of the transom windows above the doors are missing. I'll definitely be going for a modern look and I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas on what to do with these spaces? I'm quite sure that a lot of you will have some pretty clever and creative ideas... so lets hear 'em! And I'll definitely share the results when I'm Done.... Thanks!

Are the entire window frames missing or just the windows? If it's just the windows, and you want to keep expenses down, you could get some knock-off Lexan and cut it to size. Then sand one side to frost it. With a well-chosen paint color on the door and trim, it could look very cool.
