By berryberr Master-bedroom-1

In designing a compact space like this, creating a feeling of space and refinement is of utmost importance. Drawing inspiration from the female owner's love for florals, we took our cues from elements found in a garden and infused the space with a subtle sense of tamed wilderness - floral prints, stones, raw wood, greenery etc. Read more »MORE

GREEN TUNNEL - APARTMENT IN SHANGHAI BY RAO QING

By berryberr U11p1t1d21064f9dt20071207165633

URBAN JUNGLE

By berryberr Straits_times_changarchitects

With all these talks about recession, the new prize 'Best Project Below S$1 Million Construction Cost' launched at the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) Awards this year can come at no better time. The winning design is a terrace house designed by Chang Architects. The exterior and interior of the house is "a stunning display of urbanized nature, impressing the judges with the magical quality of its spaces". Here, eucalyptus - and apparently squirrels and toads which made their way into the compounds - are your friends. One sees greenery at every corner - living in this house is almost... »MORE

By berryberr Mackenzie

All of us are bombarded daily by the pressures of work and relationships. We really hate to go back home after a hard day's work to find even more distractions from noisy TVs, kids and neighbors. In short, we just want to forget the mundane stuff and switch our minds off totally - even if it's only momentarily. Interestingly, there's an increasing demand for spaces that seek to 'purify' the soul. Whether it's a room for practicing yoga or a quiet area for reflecting upon oneself, home owners are surely - and definitely - realizing the importance of keeping the... »MORE
