Louis Wolferman founded what would become the nation's premiere specialty foods company in 1888, with the opening of Wolferman's corner grocery store in Kansas City, Missouri. He adopted the slogan "Good Things to Eat" and insisted on only the finest products with the best possible ingredients for his customers."

this was the original jones store in k.c. -- now it's been torn completely down to be replaced with an enormous grocery store topped by i don't know how many stories of offices/condos/lofts.

this was made out for the original owner of the house, mrs. a. f. armstrong. they must've been rich; all the receipts we found were charged to their account. ooh la la! :)

this was found between the floorboards of the attic and the ceiling of one of the bedrooms after we removed the ceiling (more horrible tile-y stuff).
