It's like a goth jellyfish mated with a hot air balloon. And I love it.
I'm not sure I love it to the tune of $4000, but I love it all the same.
Only two more months until the book comes out!!!!

Wicked kewl! This looks like a DIY inspiration to me: a cheapie glass globe, some remnant wedding or funeral netting (depending on the depth of depression of your gothic bent), some matching remnant lace, beads, fringe, etc. and an evening or two of boredom. Use a low-wattage bulb or stuff the globe with christmas tree mini-lights so it won't get hot and catch on fire, of course. Hang on a wire kit (IKEA has a nice one) or place the globe on an old candle stand. I'm guessing this could be made for less than $40; significantly less depending on your resourcefulness and the depth of your craft-supply cache.
