Elmo couch, flowery rug.

I took some pictures to post of how the place is lookin' now, then i went out and bought a new couch and a new rug. So I won't post those, here's how things are lookin' now.

It's a RED velvety sectional, from about 1960 I'm guessing, and right now I have the two pieces put together like a giant chair. It's super comfy this way, and it's mostly because I have no floor space due to boxes piled up against the north wall.

It's really, really RED. And most other things in my apt are cooler colors. So either I am going to re-upholster it, slip cover it, or leave it. For time and $$, i'm leaning right now, towards 'LEAVING IT'. But we'll see.

And here it is with my new, 1860's rug. it's been patched with pink and purple, and has giraffe designs on it. I absolutely love it, but I'm not sure I love it enough to keep it with this couch and other decor I have going on. The lady who sold it to me is a family friend, so she will let me exchange it if I really want to. I haven't made up my mind yet, I have to sleep on it a few more days I think.
