Sea of Cardboard.....
By beccajoGood grief. The unpacking seems to never, ever abate. Like tribbles, more boxes show up every day.
Since we've been cleaning out my grandma's house as well, I've been inheriting all her stuff. Which is great in the kitchen (I never would have bought myself a breadmaker, but it's awesome to have one!) but not so great when it comes to sentimental things that I want to display but don't have room for, at the moment.
Here are some more photos from the move-in week. Coming tomorrow, how things are looking now!

Looking east from the foot of the bed. If you wanted to stalk me, you could figure out which apartment is mine in the complex from this photo. I'm one of 3 apartments to share a loading-dock deck. Which is going to ROCK in the spring/summer. These are my only windows unfortunately, and only one of the doors works. BUT I'LL TAKE IT!!!

Looking northeast, at my film canisters and reel, which are some of my most favorite things in the world, and a tiny compass that belonged to my grandfather back in the day. There's some debate as to wether it was from boyscouts or the army, but I cherish it either way......

Northwest, my kitchen. The door to my abode is located in the kitchen. So along one side is the closet/bathroom wall, and the other side is the counters etc. Notice my puggy bank? And two pieces of art I've done, a collage and a mixed-media painting. (both are for sale haha!)

Looking southwest, into the bathroom/closet area. The area above the closet (on the left) has boxes of fabric and holiday decorations up there, now.

More art, my earring frame, and vintage mirror from my other G-ma's house.

And, my bed and dueling bookcases. They're both going to get a beauty treatment as soon as possible, but I want to get everything organized, first.
The ottoman has now been jeansified, and the little green table has been painted blue. And more boxes have been added.....ugh.
Coming soon-construction ideas for the north wall-I need to build some kind of bookcase/storage unit and have had 4 suggestions. I'm gonna open it up to the Curbly Community to help me decide!

beccajo -- do you live in Riverwalk in the warehouse district? Looks awfully familiar, I lived there in 1996.
Cheers!

Fun fun fun! What a great place, beccajo--I especially love the puggy bank (but I'm a bit biased toward pugs). :)
Have a great time making it yours. Thx for letting us take a peek!
