Unpacking, Organizing.

Well I'm settling into the new loft.

I haven't made many decisions yet on paint or furniture or rugs or anything, I'm just trying to get the boxes out of the way for now! I've hung a few of my paintings, collages, and other decorative things, just so I don't feel like I'm living in a big white box.

Here's a panorama that I put together of how it looked last night. Since I took the photo, I painted the little green table and re-covered the ottoman (look for more on that later).

I've been reading my Tricia Guild books like crazy, and I think I'm going to keep pale colors for the furniture, and punchy colors for the walls, throws, and accessories. Where the boxes are (the beginning and end of the panorama) i'm going to put a sleeper sofa for when my sister comes to visit me. I got some hilarious video of her mopping and dancing around the place, I'll post a link to that as soon as I can.

I'm also trying to find a tension rod long enough for the metal doors-I'm only finding them in brass (ish) and I really want to find one in silver or white. The doors are dark green as you can see, but I have a turquoise blue and silver sari and silver curtain rings that I want to use. So that's my latest challenge.......

Eek, pic is too small! Can you post a big one, or break it into chunks? I'm dying to see what the inside of those places look like (and what's with that big open green space right next door, are they going to do something with that or make it a park?).
