It's "This could be DIYable!" day at Curbly...
By badbadivy
I come to post about the DIY-ableness of this awesome velcro key holder and lo and behold, Curbly's filled with "Hey, this is DIYable" posts! Funnneeee. ;)
Anyway, I ran across this velcro keyholder and thought, "Yo, this is totally DIYable." Especially since the thing costs $70.
My question to you guys is: Have you ever seen other shades of velcro like this? Where would you buy such velcro? Also, what kind of material would you use for top over the velcro? Ideally, plastic or metal, but that would be hard to cut out, I think.
What do you guys think?

Have you thought to use a multiple picture picture frame without the glass? Or you could use matting material and cut the holes using scrapbooking cutters.
Just some thoughts...

Indeed, good call Cantalyssa!
A quick search on google for 'touch tape' yielded a number of tasty options including one sponsor page selling 'display loop' for hook and loop systems (the other generic name for Velcro). http://www.buyhookandloop.com/DisplayLoop.asp
Very cool. Lots of potential with this stuff, though I think I might rather have a magnetic keyholder (the sound of Velcro before I forge out into the world each morning could become heart breaking).
