Using photos as wallpaper

By badbadivy

GeekDad has a post about how he transformed a wall in his son's room by using large format digital printing. Observe:

Is that not the coolest? Another way you can make these giant photos for your room is via the rasterbator, which is not nearly as dirty as it sounds. It takes small photos and turns them into large sizes, so you can make a mural on your wall. I've not tried the rasterbator, but would really like to. Has anyone used the rasterbator before? How did you like it?

(Really, I just like typing rasterbator.)

I tried Rasterbator, but alas, it doesn't work with a Mac.

Here's a post detailing the process.

You can do the same thing with the Output section of Photoshop, which works with both platforms.

I have, but I wasn't terribly wild about the way the photo turned out, personally.. I did it at work, though, and so I didn't make it terribly large (i didn't want to steal all of the paper from work!) and i probably had the specifications wrong or something, b/c eyes turned out looking like blobs, really.... I have seen some fantastic rasterbations, but they were HUGE....as i have no large walls to fill up, i just don't think they're for me.... I would love to see what you do with one, though!
