What you wish your mama taught you...
By badbadivyIt's actually already been posted about here, but I wanted to give you guys the official word on my new website, Home-Ec 101. Home-Ec 101 is a site about all the stuff you should have learned about, but never did. In the 1950s and 1960s, Home Ec taught women how to efficiently run a household- things like grocery budgeting, cooking, cleaning, how to sew on a button. I took Home Ec in the late 80s and early 90s, except it was called "Family Living" and we learned a lot more about condoms than we did about sewing on buttons.
Additionally, most of us had mothers who worked outside of the home, so there was little time to learn effective household management. I had to learn most of this stuff by trial and error, as have most of the rest of you. Home-Ec 101 brings you a collection of the things we have learned, and throws in a bit of humor to boot.
Check it out, I think you'll find it to be quite useful!
