Since I was a wee tiny thing, I have been enamoured with homes. I loved to sneak off and look through the rooms of my mom's friends houses while they chatted over coffee. I drew floor plans and still have the one decorating book my mom had which I took and devoured!
Now, I make things for homes. Decorative and functional art.
I'm a little bohemian, a little romantic parisian, with my southwestern roots thrown in for kicks.
I love to be silly, watch movies, read good books, paint, and rummage through Tuesday Morning, Goodwill and any other quirky store with cast offs needing some TLC and spicin up!
Right now I live in a small condo (small mainly because my studio is here at home) and it's not my ideal space, but I have huge windows all around me with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains!
I am always changing things around and love to have a neutral base so I can change the look easily.

Dyeing a slipcover
By ashjoieleeRight now my LR is very taupe (walls and slipcovers) I don't want to paint my walls just yet, but want to go to a cream/chocolate look, so am thinking of dyeing my slipcovers.
One is a lightweight /poly/cotton mix, the other is an all cotton twill weight.
Has anyone tried dyeing a slipcover in the washing machine with any luck? I am wondering if I can use a color remover to achieve this.
Any advice?
Thanks!
Ash
