We bought a 1937 Cape Cod with an entire floor devoted to wood paneling and a downstairs devoted to knotty pine paneling. I'm desparate to fix it up and thought this would be a great place to find some inspiration. I've been reluctant to do the work myself but am realizing that I can't afford to hire a remodelling crew, so I'm working up courage to start at least one project.

Making Plywood Cool

Our plywood-covered door is driving me crazy. It looks too raw and isn't incorporated into our home visually. I'd like to give it some character and interest. The plywood is currently covered in polyurethane but the grain could work with a modern-style finish, but I'm not sure what to do. I would love to hear any ideas on how to make it cool.
