This is my new living room sofa. It is in pristine condition and covered in silk brocade. I love it!!

The $60 vintage Flexsteel couch my husband and I bought for our living room. There wasn't a hole in it and the fabric was in fantastic shape!

Made from an awesome coat that my best friend, Gracie was given when her Grandma passed away. She had lots of memories of her Grandma in this coat but it was way too large and a little too Grandma-like for Gracie. I cut up the coat and the lining and was able to make an assortment of throw pillows. Gracie and her mom were almost in tears when I gave her these (she had given me the coat in a move, with no idea what I'd do with it). It was the perfect way to preserve the memories of the coat and not have it collect dust and rot in a closet.

This is one of my re-covering projects. I haven't decided on the fabric yet, but I am narrowing it down to a few choices. This piece will be replacing the huge blue sofa in the living room so that I can have more room.

I like it. But the wall is too brightly colored. I'll repaint it into a darker turquoise this x-mas holiday.

To do:
Find a matching carpet.
Buy or make a couple of paintings and frames.
Get a leafy floor plant.

As you can see, I have a bit of a theme going with the 9 squares... It's part of my nature to want to organize everything. If it didn't drive my husband crazy I would have all the CDs organized by genre and alphabetically. He's more of a free spirit and likes the fact that if he wants to hear something specific, he has to look for it. It's sort of a treasure hunt for him because as he's hunting for a specific CD, he'll often find several others that he forgot about.
