Hey! I moved to downtown San Diego about 2 years ago. Before this, I was at the Beach, but I must say, I love the city life much better! Lots to do, and still close to the parks and outdoor activities.
The challenge with living downtown is that all the condos come in the same cookie-cutter tan carpet with bare walls. We ripped out the carpet and installed hardwood, and installed a brick wall in the living room to give it an old NYC loft feel. I'll be posting pics later....

Installing an Interior Brick Wall (aka: The 'warehouse' effect)

We wanted a new york Chelsea kind of feel, so we decided to make the brick wall look old and weathered - like it had been there for 80 years.
