After spending WELL over an hour looking through this awesome site, I decided it might be a safe bet for me to go ahead and join J

I just love decorating, designing, and doing/making everything myself. I can convince myself that I'm capable of making just about anything, but I suppose the truth in that is debatable.

I’ve lived in an apartment since leaving home, and now I have my own house!!! It’s still a clean slate and I couldn’t be more thrilled that I’ll get to decorate it; ANY WAY I WANT!!!

I also love taking photos, but am by no means a photographer. Any pictures I've taken that would be considered good were just by luck.

Doggies chewed a hole in my quilt.

By You Make Me Smile Gehtotel_in_waikiki2_medium

Just looking for some ideas: My doggie chewed a big hole in a quilted blanket of mine. (Not a patchwork quilt; the kind with one layer of fabric, a layer of batting, and some lining) the hole is too big to repair, but since the quilt is rather large (queen size) I don't want to just throw it away. So if anyone has any ideas what I can do with it, I'd appreciate it! thanks! »MORE

Matchbox keepsake holders

By You Make Me Smile Hclvr241_4final2_e

When I found this, I couldn't wait to make one for myself. It is a fun, not over time consuming project. Then I thought it would be cute to make some for my three newphews and niece. I used papers that suited each of their personalities and they LOVED them (especially my little niece who stores her tiny hair clips and earings in it). http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_paper_crafts_boxes/article/0,1789,HGTV_3289_4939530,00.html »MORE

Shedworking

September 26, 2007
Thanks for having a look at the Shedworking site. Garden offices have become really popular here in the UK over the last few years and as the whole homeworking trend really picks up steam then I think they're only going to get more popular. I do cover the US too where there are a few companies in the market but it's certainly ripe for some more - there's a section on the right hand side of the Shedworking site called Choosing a shed (US) which you might want to have a flick through.

We're doing a big painting for the dining room. I got a big framed campy nature scene from the thrift store, and painted over it. it's ABOUT 3'X5', and was the biggest one there. After diving in and painting some awful things, I settled on limes. 2 limes. No meaning, no robots, no text, just limes.

Hi!  Yes, I will hopefully be making more of those with the vintage childrens records pattern (That's my favorite!)  Please check my store next week.  I will be going for supplies this weekend.

 Thanks!
