A friend of mine did these drawings - using Japanese calligraphy paint brushes. using that as inspiration, i took a sheet of MDF, my trusty Dremel router and a pint of black paint to create the above... found the kanji symbols online (cant remember what they mean but they were power words of one form or another) drew them on the MDF and went to town. for the paint treatment, i tried to do a crackled finish using white glue & a blow dryer that didn't work quite right but i left it there anyway . then went in with gold paint for the kanji symbols - the picture is self is surface mounted under a sheet of plexi
