saw this in a mag somewhere along the way a while back... simply stripped a $4 lampshade from Ikea (the bases also came from there) and used basic metal wire window screening to make barrel shades. the metal creased nicely to made the bottom edge nice & clean & used the wire itself for the seam in the back. originally intended to keep it totally straight & smooth but an accidental denting 'inspired' me to crumple the whole thing to make it a little funkier looking.
