Wall Art
By StillSubtleDanceWellp, probably a year ago I saw some really cool wall art that I fell in love with. It was on a stretch canvas and it was kind of a mixed media sort of deal. Different fabrics made up the background and there were little birds or insects stitched on it as well as some things screen printed on it (from what I could tell). I just couldn't afford it, however. Since then I have been looking for something similar and have since decided that I could make it. A few weeks ago I went to the fabric store and picked out the main colors. I've been looking at some prints online for inspiration. Today there has literally been nothing for me to do at work so I decided I would try to come up with a plan for my wall art design. I recreated the colors in paint and just started doodling and ended up with something that looks really cool. I'm actually really excited about it. I decided to include a quote as well. It isn't centered in the picture exactly how it would be on the real thing. I hope it turns out as cute as it looks right now!! I guess I'll be busting out the sewing machine tonight ;) More pics to come as it starts to take shape!
