Bubble Wrap Screen

I love this idea for a dividing screen. This bubble wrap is silicon filled, but I want to make a greener (if not green) version as a headboard covering.

The original is the brainchild of designer Itay Ohaly who hand injected the bubbles to create his pattern. (No permanent link, but if you go to "Works", and then scroll to the last icon on the right, you'll find it).

So what can I inject into the bubbles, that won't dribble out? Food colored mashed potatoes? Just kidding. Maybe food colored glue - the flour and water paste type. Any Ideas?

Beautiful. Not only will I totally DIY this, but I would totally pay big bucks for it! Love how it looks so graphic, with the bubbles all evenly spaced and such. The injection thing is a stumper, though. Would you use a needle? I doubt pastey glue would travel through that. Maybe if you pop the bubbles and lay the wrap flat on the floor, you could squeeze glue straight out of the bottle (after dropping some coloring into the bottle)? Hmmmm. Funky frame, BTW :)

That is fantastic! Thanks for posting it. I have a cheap screen frame in my garage, maybe I can rig something up.
