I think they're great. But then again, I'm still saving up for a completely "hands-free" bathroom. Gawd, I'd love to never have to touch anything in there. <-- germ freak.

They don't have bidets here in Texas. Or at least not anywhere I've been. ;o) I like the theory, though; it's far more hygenic.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen one here in Germany too and if I see one I don't think I will use it.
If I really need some dampness down there I think I'll go with some "wet toilet paper" (or whatever it is called in English ;).

Roadvermin's comment reminded me of my friend Judy. On trips to Europe, she too used bidets to wash her feet after long days of walking!

Thanks for the correct spelling of 'bidet." I googled it and I guess a lot of people are misspelling it as "beday." I had a feeling it was French and would have some letters that weren't pronounced. Yeah, I've heard that it's also more hygenic than using paper, but I'm still alive and relatively healthy.

You mean a 'bidet'? For sure it isn't for everyone. I like them, have used them. but rarely are bidets in people's bathrooms even in France! You need the space and often the money for a flat like that (with an original or design toilet room). My sister in law uses them to wash her feet lol. - RV's Girl

I've got family in Argentina, where using these is very common. I've tried them and never got used to it, but people there think it's weird that we don't use them. Cultural differences, I guess...
