I appreciate all of the comments! Yes, my son IS jealous! Since this post, I painted her side-table the same color as the walls, and got some cute accessories for her shelves. I also replaced the flower lamp with a wrought-iron birdhouse candleholder that I rigged for a light-bulb. The hot glue was heating up too much and the flowers were oozing off the shade. I also got her a round purple rug that matches the paint, and is made of recycled strips of fabric, loopholed. It sits beneath her side table. Inky, there is a picture of my walls behind white vases in my photos if you'd like to compare. I tried to upload it here, but it showed up as the picture title lol.

Wow! Really very well done. I LOVE the flower lamp (did you see the PBkids one for crazy money?) and how the three colour pallet is totally grow-into-able. Yay you for being brave and giving it a go.

Thanks! And yes, it had weird groovy textures in it. It looks more like a faux-finish now though, paint changes the look entirely!

okay, i live in one of them thar trailers and hate my stupid walls - were your textured or flat to begin with? I don't mean the little strip thing you cock (wow, how that's dirty), but the actual wall. Mine has (i can't even believe i am admitting this even on the internet) a sort of weird glimmery paper. You may have given me the push to paint!
