i think its a good idea, i mean i dont really know what a berm is. but im sure its great lol .. looks pretty much like mini composting and natural weed "avoider" but if it does the trick. go for it. .. btw i think it looks great like that opposed to in ground gardens. it feels more separate and contained, and more suiting.

Even if it doesn't actually grow better at-least it looks taller!
