Everything you said is 99% accurate, but if you've sewn with them, you can tell that they are a bit more rough than interior fabrics.  I've a had many raw hands from stuffing cushions into these new outdoor fabrics. Otherwise, you're right.  They make great dining and chair seat covers and maybe ottoman and dogbed covers.
