It's a DIY zen garden. I'm going to try to get it done this week sometime. The stuff I do for Curbly...I'm tellin' ya!

I got my husband to start going with me. He looks at books endlessly and then buys, reads and returns. Now he's got the hang of it. Good job on bypassing the desk--since it's not your style. And now I want to know what your how-to is. I'm so nosy.

Shoot---forgot the pearls!! Hey...I hit the thrift store I mentioned this weekend. They had no less than 4 sewing machine tables, and at least two had the machines still in them. (Not a brand I recognized.) I would have snagged one, but I really don't have the room. They had an old desk that was to die for. It had an inset leather top and the drawers were dovetailed. Didn't ponder over the wood...maybe mahogany? Anyhoo, it was made in England and it was pretty fabulous, even though it wasn't my style. Although, for 20 bucks, I was very tempted. I did find some little stuff for an upcoming how-to. Hubby had a blast, btw. Now he's talking about making it a ritual for when we visit he parents--which is at least once a month. SO...another thrift store junkie, eh?!

Honey, I was so happy to see you wearing your June Clever apron. I'm sure you had pearls on too.
