Funny, but I was just telling somebody about the site and was asked what the name meant. They suggested it related to "curb appeal," but I was utterly clueless. I just figured, Curbly is as Curbly does. And that is good enough for me.

Thanks Bruno, I feel relieved that I did not miss out on something major here in pop culture....since I believe I am a good deal older than most of the folks on this site.  But since you suggest that the word is some sort of a diminutive for curb appeal,,. I wonder what other associations people have with the word.    IE   WHAT ELSE DOES THE WORD CURBLY BRING TO MIND FOR PARTICIPANTS ON THIS SITE?    jeanne

Great question! There's no "official" meaning for the word Curbly. It's a take on the phrase "curb appeal", and we think of it as being an adjective for describing a cool house, an awesome room, or an incredible design idea.

Usage:

"Wow, that house on the corner is curbly."

"Hey, do you know a place where I can get a curbly picture frame for this Marimekko print?"

"You, your living room was a lot curblier before you covered the windows with tinted plastic wrap"
