The more I look at that and try to come up with a DIY version, I'm thinking you could do a stainless steel "looking" version out of a sledding saucer at a tilt, attached to a base and make a sheepskin cover. Hmmmmmm....

I just have this mental image of some big dog jumping up onto that sheep skin...and then watching the sheep skin and dog go sailing right off the chair.  Of course most dogs would love that and just make you put the sheep skin back so they can do it again, and again and again.
