Hey Sparkie, it's nice to hear from you again! How's that bathroom remodel going? We had an unpleasant project over the winter; we tiled our laundry room. It's in the basement, and we figured if you have to have a laundry room in the basement, it should look fabulous--thus the tiling! It was a huge pain because we use it as storage space too. So we did the room in 3rds. Unplugged the washer and dryer and moved them, then tiled that end of the room. Plugged them back in and headed to the other end of the room. It took about a month to get it finished, but we kept picking away. Next is the utility room, which is--thankfully--very small. When that's done, we're going to have new carpeting installed in the rest of the rooms and stairwell. So, although we're not doing an entire house--like your foreclosed carnie crackhouse--know you're not alone in the throes of DIY! 

P.S. I so need uncluttering.  But first, I gotta finish remodeling this foreclosed carnie crackhouse!  I need some motivational words too!
