nice idea but I tried it in my small bathroom and it looked pretty hideous.. the legs are very thick and chunky... its gone in the bin and im having a worktop done now!

problem with that often is not the fact that it is a vanity, or table, or red balloon. the problem is that you want to be sure that the material is not a laminated mdf or similar "engineered" wood. these will disintegrate with a couple exposures to water.

MWT and I are planning a bathroom remodel, and we love the vanity-as-furniture-look. He wants to build the cabinet, but I've been looking for a chest of drawers or maybe even one of those 2-part china cabinets--and just buy/use the bottom 'buffet' part as the vanity. There's a lot of options out there if you're willing to think outside the box. Or should I say 'outside the vanity'?
