I lust over the Himalayan Salt Lamps at my local co-op. Bella Dia shares a very clever way of making a perpetual jack-o’-lantern out of a fish bowl. All you need is a round fish bowl, some orange and yellow tissue paper and some Modge Podge. The procedure is so simple, a pictorial tut is really all you need! Via.

In case you didn't know, you can recycle old CFL bulbs at any Home Depot store. This news is a bit old (see the pdf below for details), but I was reminded of it when I was in my local HD today and they had a new, very prominent and colorful station setup at the entrance of the store where you could drop off used CFLs and Rechargeable Batteries.
I thought that was pretty cool. Safe disposal for these bulbs always been way more diffcult than it should be, so it's nice to see another retailer stepping up to the plate and doing their part.
