I know this post is a bit old... but you could do a REAL lightbox. You can find a picture or even scan that wallpaper and have it printed on duratran. It's a seethrough plastic material that is used to print backlit posters. :) I make huge light boxes are part of my art. You need to find a poster/digital photo processing place. That shouldn't be hard if you live in an urban area. It's a bit costly though; a 3' x 4' cost me 300$. Oh and you also need white plexi-glass to mount it to :)

Hi architect! the tiny raised platform on the right is to cover the existing ugly air-conditioning pipe. i dont like the platform too but i'm trying to decorate within the constraints on the existing layout to save $$$$..  :)

What is the use of that platforn to the right of the bed?  why does the headboard meander to the platform? I would do away with bot the platform and the  headboard , put in a new headboard that fit only the bed, and use the corner for  something else, how about  some of the curtain ideas mentionedm - like the lace, and hten put a side table in with some decoartive piece there.

Just my ramble, :) I do custom house plans and home plan drafting.

Hi Caya, thanks! :) cant really see from here but i've glued lace behind the cut out so that the felt retains its shape. Still not satisfied with it tho.. Hi Chrisjob, the wallpaper is totally opaque.. unless i do a cut out like the felt. hmm.. but i didnt think of the wallpaper before... its an idea i could explore!

Could you affix some of the same wallpaper to a plexiglass box? How much light do you think it'd let in?

I never would have thought of that felt cut-out panel. How pretty & unique!
