Tea is basically flavored water. You can do a little research and find out what weeds grow in your area, that would make good tea. Pine needles, raspberry leaves, peppermint, and spicebush all make good teas, and you can do a google search for "Edible wild plants" and come up with a lot more. if there are any nature trails or woods, etc in your area, then that can be a source for finding them- that's cheap as in free! You can also have a little container to grow some of these in, and have it year-round.

I dig a squish of flavored Stevia in a bottle of seltzer.  Peach might be my fave.

Oh, and if I am gonna go for the whole "let's get a knife dirty to drink some water", a few slices of cucumber are to die for on a summer day! Of course, it is easier to use a whole cuke and make a pitcher - it keeps surprisingly well, and you can just keep topping the pitcher off to make the cucumber last for a while! More cheap drinks!

I love my freshly distilled water, but will sometimes dump in a shake of True Lime (Powdered 'Lime Juice'). If I'm feeling daring, I'll go with a half a pack of sweet n low also. On ice, it's a nice (very very light) Limeaid, but no calories and very cheap! Of course fresh lime/lemon is better, but then it's a dirty knife and putting away the rest of it, and it gets to be too big of a deal for a quick chug.

Once in a while, I'll add some good, old fashioned lemon juice to a jug of water in the frig.  It's not lemonade but it can be refreshing, even when you get tried of drinking ordinary tap water.  Though this time of year, I'm much more likely to make sun tea and drink that like some people breathe.  *grin*
