I hate when these big networks try to form social networks just to jump on the bandwagon of what's "hot." You can clearly tell when someone's heart and soul is in it, and when it's a corporate construction made for the masses. Viva la underground!

It's way too shallow. One could bookmark it to check out "Highest rated" once in a while for inspiration but that's about it. They'll never be able to build a community with only one feature.

What you guys have going with Curbly is miles ahead of Rate My Room in my opinion. There's nothing you could take from that site to improve Curbly.

Also, they stole Flickr's color combination!

As Manzabar said, I think it's HGTV that needs to do some learning. You can only comment and rate pictures. Curbly is way more useful.

I've got to aree with dbornsztein.  This RateMyRoom site is vaguely interesting but not nearly as useful as Curbly.  If amybody has got some learning to do, it's HGTV.  Their site mostly reminds me of those tacky HotOrNot sort of thing while Curbly is a great resource.

hey bruno,

i just went onto the rate my room site..... i didn't like it very much..... the idea is there, i like the fact that you can rate stuff, but curbly is a much better designed website. this has nothing to do with the fact that i am your sister, trust me. so i think you should call up the ceo of hgtv, and pitch your services!!!!! GO CURBLY!
