I have a contemporary/modern house built in the 1960's that my husband and i are trying to do updates on. as of now we are working on a new deck w/ outdoor fireplace... any ideas would be very helpful! Next project for the winter will be bathrooms.

Thanks for the link. If anything comes up for sale in your area, please let me know. We have never even heard of Thornburg and I looked it up yesterday and it seems like a really nice area. I looked up some places yesterday on the Alleg. County Property site. and I believe they were on Tech Rd. Definately some interesting places. We may knock on some doors to see if anyone is thinking about selling. It is such a bad time to sell I think people are hesitant to put their house on the market.

there is a great house in the greentree area, very much on the modern side though. take a look.

we are open to just about anywhere, we really like the Fox Chapel/O'hara area. I just don't want to be as far as the North Hills.

We are staying in the Southside Lofts right now. We do have a realtor but we are not signed with her, she is a friend. I mostly scan the mls and call her if we see anything. We found a really nice place but it is in the North Hills, exactly where we don't want to be!

Is your house in Bradford Woods? If not, where is it? My wife and I have been looking for a mid-century modern home for about 1 1/2 years thought that we have seen just about everything around Pittsburgh until I saw your home. It looks like something that may have been designed by Lou and Luke Mcbeth, who built a few homes in the Bradford Woods area. They are sometimes refered to the Charles and Ray Eames of the Pittsburgh area. It is a really nice place!
