Monday Night Upholstery: Mother and Daughter Create Together
By ModHomeEcTeacher
When you're having so much fun creating, sewing, tearing down chairs you obviously want to bring someone with you. Jenny's daughter Sarah tagged along Monday night with an embroidered tee shirt and went to work spinning straw into gold. She went home with an embroidered pillow for her dorm room.

Look how easily she listened to her mom's brief sewing machine instruction. Wow!

Janet learned how to make a boxed and corded cushion but really enjoyed discovering how to make covered buttons on the big button maker.

Cute as can be!

Sarah took her new pillow home to await her move to college.
Everybody needs to come and join in the fun!!

Tiernae-Oh, how funny! She was a delight. In fact, I just had another mother/daughter come to class on Weds. night and they were so cute too. Are you an art major?

So I read this blog every so often looking at the wonderful craft ideas that you all have on here. As I was reading this one I looked at the photographs and realized that this Sarah is one that I just met last week. I believe she just started the freshmen art program at AU, which happens to be where I also attend. I laughed so hard cause I had just met her lovely self not too long ago and then I happened upon photos of her and her mom on one of my favorite craft websites. How hilarious!
