Don't you wish your house had that fresh spa smell when walked in the door? There used to be a candle that replicated that wonderful aroma, but like all good things, it was discontinued. Not to worry, over on TipNut there are nine simple recipes involving eucalyptus that you can whip up to use as household cleaners.
Here are two to get you started and a link to the entire collection:
Linen Spray Freshener
1/2 cup Distilled Water
1/2 cup Vodka
10 drops Eucalyptus oil
- Mix ingredients and pour into a spray bottle. Shake before use.
Eucalyptus Freshener Spray

2 cups Distilled Water
20 drops Eucalyptus Oil

I think you could use any oil. I just happen to love eucalyptus. 20 drops may be too much, you'll have to test it out. Some essential oils are stronger than others. I made some eye pillows with lavender oil and flaxseed and the lavender about knocks you out. Just add a little at a time.

Does it have to be Eucalyptus oil or would any esential oil do? I am thinking that lavender or sweet orange might also be a nice fragrance for certain rooms in the house. I wnder if the formula would change based on the type of oil? Would 20 drops be too many ... or possibly not enough?
