Summer Camp

Oh, to be a kid again! If I could only squeeze way back into the 13-18 year old age bracket, I'd be begging my parents to send me to summer camp at the Cranbrook Summer Art Institute.
Only a five hour drive to the suburbs of Detroit, I could really would walk if I had to. Cranbrook, graced by the teachings of Charles Eames, Eero Saarinen, Michael and Katherine McCoy and other of the greatest 20th century designers, would be my #1 choice for summer camp.
Three weeks filled with studio art classes, demonstrations, discussions of the creative process and gallery tours, not to mention the delight of being with like-minded kids at that impossibly awkward age. Who wants to sign up?
