A Knotty Pine Memory
By ModHomeEcTeacher
The sewing studio is finally finished. I've posted photos of different angles of the room. This room measures 12' x 20'. I brought the rocker in for two of the sewing moms who have newborns. On the other side of the table on the left is a room where the heavy duty work gets done like painting, upholstering, photographing projects and light construction. There is one more room to the right of the rocking chair which has more fabric shelves, two more sewing machines and a wall of built in shelves for books, etc. This is now my favorite room!

One thing I may do is take the table outside on a nice day and spray paint the metal legs.

What an awesome transformation. I call knotty pine "naughty" pine. You know, when child is not so nice they are usually being naughty and you want to hide them. Same goes with knotty pine, you want to hide it! Hence....naughty pine.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your "new" room for years to come.

Sooo nice! And yes, very good light. The hooped fabric made me smile. I did the same thing in my guest room. Saw it on a Curbly clipping and had to steal the idea!

Nerwen-Thanks. I'm surprised because the ceiling is low and the lights consist of four cans and three tracks. It's always been hard to have enough light down there, until now.

you really did a 180 on this room! MUCH better than the knotty pine. your lighting is great too!

Thanks. I feel like I'm in someone else's house when I go down there. It gets kind of crowded with five other people sewing.
