I'm a young graphic designer who semi-recently moved to New York from Seattle for a job working at dwell home furnishings, a modern bedding company. My father owns his own upholstery business so I always grew up around fabric and his constant rearranging our furniture, a habit he seems to have passed onto me. My husband and I live in a giant loft in an industrial part of Brooklyn that has really left an opprtunity for me to go crazy. I'm on a shoe string budget in this crazy expensive city, but I try to make my apartment really reflect my own unique style and I try not to stick to too many rules. My first apartment in Seattle was way too grown up for me so I'm finally falling into a rythm that's fun, modern, colorful & comfortable. I'm not afraid to use ridiculous colors & bold patterns, but I'm a girl who loves me some chocolate brown. The one thing I struggle with though is budget and the balance between clutter and things I need!
