machine tool designer..  Just today I was wondering if there was a machine here in the us that could make hi volumes of table legs with US labor (instead of overseas...)

The machines I design specialize in cutting metal, however, my company has sold some to manufacturers that make custom made wood products like pool cues, for example. You could buy a metal cutting lathe and make table legs--wood or metal--to your heart's content. A machine like this will make legs 24/7 as long as you keep it loaded with raw material (wood, aluminum, stainless etc.)
