Striped valances for living/dining room

I don't have "before" pictures, but I guess you could imagine it. My client wanted window treatments to dress the windows, but at the same time to keep the outside view. Do you think mission was accomplished?

Nice job on the valances. It's a punch of neutral colors without overpowering the room (like so many seem to do these days). VERY classy!

I like that the stripe is in keeping with the tall, narrow windows, and the color goes nicely with the upholstered dining chairs.  Not sure if I like the center valance, it cuts the window in half, distracting from the gorgeous arch, and isn't the same height as the side window valances (or so it appears in the photos).  I don't know how it would have been done (I'm no sewer!) but it would have been cool to see the side valances arched like the center window.  I'm constanly amazed at what people like you, people who can sew and design, can accomplish.  The valances you made give a nice softening look to your clients rather blah room.
