DIY Cord & Charger Organizer Box

By Keter

Via Lifehacker, another method of organizing cord, transformer, and charger mess.  If especially like the idea of labeling each hole with the identity of each cord going through it.  I label my cords using a Dymo label printer, and when a cord can detach from its transformer, or if I'm using a "generic" transformer for a particular device, I label the transformer as well.  (Tape over the switches on the generic transformer, too, to prevent accidental bumps from changing your settings...found that one out the hard way...)

This looks very neat, easy and durable but I too was concerned about heat and possible electrical interference to each other.

Love this idea!  Going to use it and try to make a power strip switch on the outside so it's lighter on my power bill.

I'm not really sure if it is.

All those power supplies create more heat than you might expect, so a little more ventilation is necessary. If something starts to burn in there you might even have the problem that the box stops smoke coming out at first which would stop fire alarms get activated earlier.

It helps cleaning up the mess though :)
