My favorite shows to watch are HGTV or DIY. I find them very inspiring and even took a home improvement class to learn plumbing, electrical, and tiling. Although it was not an indepth class I loved using the tools. I was like a child in a toy store. I wish I could take the next level (woodworking) but they do not offer it. (Sign)
The reason why I took this home improvement course is I wanted to fix minor problems in my new home. This house is very special. It was built using alot of green materials for my children. I wanted to create a non or low toxic place for them. I built it a couple of years ago and loved every minute of it.
I started a green blog called www.green-talk.com since people were always asking me about green building products. Since I spend so much time on the internet looking for products, I figured I might as well blog about them and help others. My mission on Green Talk is to create an eco community that shares their green experiences so people are not afraid to try. I still have questions and would love to hear from people who have tried various products.
I also talk about gardening on Green Talk too. I have recently become addicted to any plant that grows. I was warned that this would happen if I got the gardening bug (which there is not a cure.)
AS for my sense of style, it is whatever my eye likes. I started buying 1930s and 1940s furniture because I love the craftmanship of the furniture. I also love lighting. Whatever I do I keep to my passion of trying to buy sustainable and low or non toxic.

Green Talk
Hi everyone. I joined Curbly because I love all the DIY comments on this site. I am passionate about green building products and organic gardening.
My green journey started long before I built my house a couple of years ago using alot of green material with a focus on indoor air quality (low and no toxic products.) Years before I was investigating energy efficient methods and products.
This prompted me to start a website, www.green-talk.com, to help others. If I can do, everyone can.
I am still working on this house and always looking at new building products, furniture, lighting (which I love), and fabrics. My blog is about either a green questions someone asked me or products that I am looking for myself. Green Talk's mission is to create a eco-community that shares in its green experiences to help other to turn green. I don't have all the answer and a girl could use some help too.
