thats a one pound weight too cute and the little metal wire thing i dont know what is but i am using it to hold mail.  and the little 70's style mirror i thought was awesome and hopefully will add some dimension to my boring bookshelves. which i will later get floating ones, but hey everything in due time.

The bowls and the frame has a nice worn wood texture... how about painting them with patterns or ilustrations while still letting some of the wood texture show?

and when i saw the table lamp, i thought of decoupage-ing a couple of bright orange gold fish on them... but maybe that's just me.

thanks so much, i appreciated your suggestions. i think the bowls are too small for the ball things, but i will keep that in mind. (right now my toddler LOVES anything round, so he can throw it, so i might hold off on that lol)

i will post some pics of my semi finished room in progress, and i would love our opinion and suggestions. thanks again

What if you use the metal thing to hold up the mirror? Would that work?  And then you could fill the bowls up with those cool wicker balls that seem to be really hip, it would look good on the shelf. Or you could stack the bowls, that might look good on a shelf. And have you considered getting a plate hanger? I believe they have some that you could just set the little dish on so that it would stand up on a shelf which might look cute. Just some thoughts/suggestions! :)
