Giving new purpose to ironing center

By David Fernandez

Here is the wall mounted ironing center that hangs in my basement but never gets any use. I am building an  8'x10'  personal space for a friend and he would like a space saving and inexpensive table. I love the pocket table that Gregory Johnson posted on this site but even they are too large. So I am converting said ironing center into a table.Step 1-Replace ironing board(which is attached by 4 bolts) and replace with something nicer,Step 2-Dress up the door and interior.Step 3-Hang in the new space.I'll keep you posted.Any suggestions are welcome.

I made a bar from my unused fold away board. I can't wait to see what your creativity will do.

The former ironing board nook in our house was converted into a spice rack. It's a great, shallow place to store all the things that get lost in larger, deeper cabinets.

This is a great idea! I'm looking forward to seeing more of the process.
