Cardboard Art

Ooooh. More fuel for my cardboard addiction! Not sure I have the patience to try anything quite as detailed as these, but at least they inspire me to think outside the box (s'cuse the pun).

I've never tackled upholstery, other than recovering the seats of some diningroom chairs. That only involved a pair of scissors and a staple gun....no sewing! I've been wanting to find/rebuild/make a japanese-style headboard for my bed, but so far I haven't even found something I like. Might just try THAT out of cardboard!

Believe it or not ... YES! We're not quite finished, but taking a break from it for a little while. Now wanting to get on with, and dreaming about, other DIY projects. With some direction from ModHomeEdTeacher I am tackling my first upholstery project - a broken Danish Modern chair for my sewing room that my friend was going to toss.

Ha!! No....methinks that sounds like one of those 'learn from someone else's misery' kind of scenarios. Thanks for the visual though. Sounds scary!! :P So...was it worth it? lol

My dear DaiquiriDiva ... I have the perfect cure to your addiction. Take five years to renovate your home while you live in it, but only unpack the absolute essentials after you move in. Then, keep moving all those cardboard boxes from room to room as you renovate. At the end, you won't be able to get rid of that cardboard fast enough! Oh yes, and buy a large kichen that comes flat pack and use all the cardboard to cover the floors and countertops while work is being done. Trust me, you will be cured!
