So many crafts....so little time to try them all!!
My current addiction is glass. I started doing simple stained glass projects a few years ago, but eventually discovered fusing as my real passion. I also have a love for polymer clay, miniatures, digital photography, woodworking, wire crafts, masks, and I'm obsessed with cardboard furniture. And painting. And paper mache. And paper cut-outs. And....and.... *sigh* See what I mean??? :P
My love for creating originally stemmed from a lack of money but a desire to make my own space look unique (and an intense disdain for using old blankets or flags as curtains, or milk crates as furniture :P) While i've come a long way from those days, I still prefer 'home grown' art over store bought.

Weird and Wonderful?
By DaiquiriDivaOr just plain weird?

I've been looking through hundreds of art sites lately and I must say...there are some truly strange things out there. Just had to share this one. I DO kind of like the raindrops hanging from the ceiling though. More pictures here.

Ya tell me about it! My kitchen kicks my ass every time I try to compete with it's "countryness" but for now I'll settle with the fake oak laminate cupboards and green on green linolium untill I convince my man that paint is an effective way of changing the look of your cupboards! lol.
ps- I love your avatar- supercute♥

Hi DbD! And Welcome to Curbly! I'm a fairly new addict here as well. I haven't posted any of my own stuff yet. We've just started house shopping, so I'm sure once we find the right place I'll have some decorating dilemmas and projects to share on here. Seems most places we look at have that 'country kitchen' charm and i'm just SO not 'chickens and gingham' girl! (lol)

Hello DD :) I requested your friendship because you are a fellow Canadian who might know of some good resources, and because you and I share a passion for creating a unique space on a tight budget. Have you any posts of your own work? I'm VERY new and haven't taught myself to navigate the site yet, but I'd love to see :)
