Transformations with Paint

Kati's Victorian home had a pretty ho-hum dining room, until she gave it a diy once-over. Out went the old carpeting and on went some paint and wallpaper.
As for Dominique's stairwell, which leads to her basement, it was of the standard variety.
A lot of tape and even more patience later, she created this masterpiece:
